How I get home

As I mentioned earlier, my school is at Bishan St 13 and my house is at Simei Road. People keep asking me why I didn't end up at the College East campus. Simple: I passed only 1 subject and therefore the chances of getting there is slim, in addition to the facilities there. (FYI, I did choose the one at College West if I didn't get at College Central) Anyways, as most of my schoolmates would know, I would take the train at Bishan in the direction towards the city. Sometimes in the opposite direction, or take the bus from Bishan interchange or outside the MRT instead. In case you are curious, here are the routes i take for each of the above 3: Train towards the city: alight at City Hall (Raffles Place if the train is already there and is/has depart) and transfer to the East-West line towards Pasir Ris and alight at Simei and walk from there. Total time: ~50min (~54 if from raffles place) alight at City Hall and transfer to the East-West line towards Pasir Ris and alight at Ta

the Moneysense event

Image
There was a moneysense event project with the actual day on 1 nov at ite college east (simei). It started when lawson called me for something during the holidays for 3 days on weekdays (sc oath taking practice was on the other 2 days). I initally didn't want to do it because i did the classofclowns just a few months earlier which was crazy. But due to "lack of manpower" (the other 3 didn't do much/anyhting) and lawson working for some media company (he offered me to work with him but i indirectly rejected the offer for reasons mentioned 2 posts before this ), I had to do the work in the end, though mdm salinah (along with people whose name i cant remember) did the music and final edit. There was conflict with my class lessons, the moneysense rehersal, jan intake graduation nite preperation meeting, another oathtaking rehersal, and japanese class. All on the same day and is supposed to be between 3pm and 6pm. Then the rehersal 2 days before the actual day. (More detai

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows (Final/7th book): Nov 2007

I was one of those people who pre-ordered the book before the release (and before the GST was increased from 5% to 7%) and received it around the day of release in July 2007. (I also watched "Order of the Phonex" movie in the same month.) Well, it's now November, 4 months after the release, and I still have yet to even start reading, although I had a peak of the last chapter. Something about an even taken place several years with 2 major/secondary characters in the entire series married with children (I could name them, but that would spoil those who haven't read it yet. Though, unlikely for Harry Potter fans). Other than that, I don't really know what exactly happens. Should start reading it when I'm bored. I forgot where I have placed the 1st to 4th book but I still have the DVD movie of those. Also, since I have read the 6th book only once, I forgot what happens but I know that a Hogwards teacher working for Voldermolt (and a student from that persorn's

A supposed-to-be-great-day until he spoiled it.

(For your info, my house is opposite the junction from the Metta Building in Simei Rd/St1) It started yesterday (29 Oct 2007) in the afternoon after my SW class. Went for Japanese class at 3pm, learned stuff like "いちまんはっぴゃくさんじゅうに" (10832) and "銀行は駅の前にです。" (The bank is infront of the (train) station.) on the following day. Received back the slip we wrote for the height of 富士山 (Mt. Fuji) as 3776m (I checked via internet on my phone :P). Wore school shirt over the SW shirt and my mic shirt over my SW short. (The people around me commented on how it looks like a skirt). The room was bloody cold when I entered, in addition to infront of the wind flow from the ac unit. Fast forward to some time after the 日本語 class: There was a full dress rehersal at the ampheathere. Me and a group of a few people (Lawson, Minrong and I-forgot-his-name) stationed at the sound. He wanted me to take pictures (with someones camera and I dont feel like doing so). I then passed the camera to a

What a week

Monday: the 3rd term of school has started. There were new subjects: Intermidate Accounting and Business Stastics. Had problems with payment of the books of the later and did not receive it on that day. A friend told me to bring my laptop from wednesday to friday for the project "Money Sense" Tuesday: I kind of knew this a few weeks ago but today was decleared a holiday for recgintion of efforts by Harvard University (was it in the US or the UK?). This did came out in the media. My secondary friend (Mark) offered me to go out with him the previous day. Ate at MacDonalds and then walked around White Sands (Pasir Ris) before deciding to go to Compass Point (Sengkang). Took 88 from the interchange and alighted the bus stop after the TPE (should have alighted the one just after that; nearer and less roads to cross) and walked to Compassvale (SE1) LRT station and reach the destination. There wasnt much to do there, so we end up going to a job agency in Nee Ann City (Takashimaya Sh

I might start a new blog

I am planning on starting a new blog here in the form of a dairy/journal from a person's point of view. I would try to make it look as though it really belongs to that person. That would mean that there would be no links to me or my stuff. Stuff mention there may include stuff that appear in the news, pop culture, what happened on that person's day. Layout and content may change over time. Also, if there are no posts, it could mean that the person could be busy, on holiday, or just can't be bothered to update. Think of it as when 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱's official website when the anime was still airing (Summer 2006). When I have decided on the personality of the person, i would post the link here or at some of my Friendster accounts. See an example: http://www.myspace.com/139254574 13 Sep 2007 Edit: Here's the url: http://tokimekinohibi.blogspot.com/ (If you are interested on my blog describing my life, I would post them (if I bother) at MySpace blogs or Windows Live Spaces blog

May not be on for some time

(originally posted at http://fnfd.spaces.live.com/) I am getting quite busy preparing for teachers day that is on the 31 August with the MIC Club at ITE College Bishan. Preparation is so much that I had to spend the weekend doing preparation and reach home from sch at night. (Sometimes so late that i just manage to catch the last train (11:30pm) to reach home). I would need to go and register for the Japanese Prophihency test (JLPT; Nihongo Nouryoku Shiken) level 3 at somewhere near the national liabary (kim chuan reference) and The Continential (hotel next to bugis) by 6 September which is less than 2 weeks now. I'm switching from pacific internet's 512kbps to singtel's 6Mbps (12 times faster) for obvious reasons. This would happen around the middle of september. since this happens during the school holiday, i might not be able to go online at school to log in to friendster and stuff. the process between discounting from pacnet and activating singnet would take at least 4
